I haven't seen any announcments anywhere, but apparantly it's Children's Week again. I ran into some Horde players yesterday with orphans in tow so I headed over to the Stormwind Orphanage this morning to pick up my own. Some 15 minutes later I had my very own Speedy the turtle, a pet I've wanted ever since I first started playing :D

A progression raid just isn't right without Speedy in tow.
Mew, I thought the elephant (Elekk collar) was from the Shatt quest, along with Peanut and Willy? I chose the elephant for my priest, and from Stormwind - the equivalent to your Orgrimmar - she had the choice of a rat, Speedy the turtle and Mr Wiggles the pig.

Whiskers the Rat wins my vote. Tanks love critters since they can keep you in combat and prevent rage decay between pulls, so our warlocks and mages find it incredibly funny to kill my poor critter pals. Especially the spiders in Akama's room :(
